The Observatory Atlantic Maritime Economy (ATOME) aims to be an efficient tool that provides updated on the different economic activities that take place in the maritime coastal physical environment (Maritime Economy) of the 5 countries that make up the "Atlantic Area" information (Spain, France, Ireland, Portugal and the UK).
The observatory ATOME activity will mainly focus on:
- Develop indicators and indices to measure changes between regions.
- Report actions, projects and R & D + i of the different actors of the Maritime Economy in the 5 countries of the Atlantic Area.
- Encourage cooperation between researchers and the public and private sectors, in order to implement innovation processes and new products and services for the maritime economy.

HARVEST ATLANTIC intends to identify and exchange good practices and sustainable solutions based on innovation, diversification and marketing for the maritime economy and resources, in order to improve the socioeconomic situation of the Atlantic seaside territories, through transnational cooperation. In particular, it will contribute to the enhancement of competitiveness and innovation capacities in 4 specific subsectors of the maritime economy.
